Shipments sent with our Chit Chats Collect service can be picked up at a Chit Chats branch or Chit Chats locker within 12 km of your recipient’s address. As this service makes use of our network to expedite shipments across Canada, your customers are able to pick up at a Chit Chats branch near them for less than with other Canadian postage options. All they will need in order to collect their shipment in-branch is their shipment ID and recipient name. Shipments fulfilled by Chit Chats locker will require the barcode or PIN shared with the recipient via email or SMS.
Shipments sent with our other Canadian postage types, Chit Chats Select, Slim and Canada Tracked, are not eligible for pick up from one of our branches. Once we receive these shipments at one of our branches, they are quickly processed and sorted for release to our partner carriers.
Each carrier is different but most will deliver shipments to either your front door or your mailbox. If you are located in an apartment or office building, your shipment may be left in a parcel locker or with the front desk.
If it is unsafe to deliver, the carrier may reattempt delivery another day leave a notice card instead. This card will let you know when and where you can collect your shipment from e.g. local post office or pickup point.
Other times you may expect a shipment to be delivered to a post office for the purpose of paying fees related to shipping like postage due or taxes and duties for international shipments.
