This step of the import is optional and can be by-passed without editing by selecting Import at the bottom of the page.
If you are uploading multiple shipments to your Chit Chats account, you may also want to make changes to multiple shipments at the same time.
Upon importing your shipments, you will be given the opportunity to update the details of all or just a few of your shipments (Step 3). The following attributes can be updated simultaneously (in any valid combination):
- Type of contents
- Description of contents (min 3 characters) in English
- Retail value
- Customs Tax Reference Number
- Ship date
- Signature confirmation*
*Editing these options may incur additional charges.
You will be unable to edit content descriptions and retail values in bulk for your international shipments. This is because you must provide a detailed customs description including specific quantity and retail value for each item in every international shipment you import.
Edits will only be applied to the shipments you select in Step 3 of the import. You will be given a chance to edit a different group of shipments upon saving your edits. A symbol will appear next to previously edited shipments.
Should you decide to make changes to your shipment description with this tool or with shipping presets, we will display the original description from your connected store or CSV file in the shipment sidebar menu for your reference.
At this time, the editing of multiple shipments is only available at the time of import and cannot be applied to existing pending shipments. If you realize an error was made during the import, you may do any of the following:
- Cancel the import and try again,
- Delete the incorrectly imported shipments from your pending shipments and start the import over or,
- Individually edit the pending shipments.
