By law, cosmetics that are marketed in the U.S. must follow specific guidelines for product labelling. These requirements from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) are in place to help keep consumers informed and safe.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires and enforces that all cosmetic products must have labels which contain the following information:
- The identity of the product
- An ingredient list
- The net quantity (in metric units)
- The manufacturer or distributor’s name and address
It is your responsibility to ensure that your products meet the labelling requirement before dropping off your shipments to us. Doing this will help ensure that your shipments move smoothly through U.S. and International Customs.
If the product labelling requirements are not met, it may result in administrative fees and/or your shipments being held or delayed.
