Chit Chats Collect is a new low-cost option for Canadian shipments that is designed with more savings and flexibility in mind. As a recipient, you will be able to pick up your shipments from a nearby Chit Chats branch for less. Once a shipment becomes available for pickup at the desired branch, you will receive a notification by SMS or email. You will also find other important details including the branch address, hours of operation, and phone number to make your pickup easy and convenient!
SMS and email notifications will always contain a link beginning with chitchats.com to either view the shipment tracking or reserve a pickup window at a Chit Chats locker. We will never ask you for payment or other personal information via SMS or email. If you have not received a notification and it is past the estimated delivery date, please check your spam folder as it may be incorrectly filtered to junk mail.
Selecting a Chit Chats Location for Pickup
Many sellers are taking advantage of our low cost shipping option for their Canadian shipments. If a store offers this delivery option, you will be able to pick up your shipment at a Chit Chats branch in your area. To determine if this service is right for you, or to find a location close to you, please visit our locations page. Branches will be listed in order of proximity of your current location. You can find other helpful details including the branch address, hours of operation, and phone number. You can then make a request from your seller if this service is available so you can save on shipping costs.
Tracking Chit Chats Collect Shipments
Picking up a Chit Chats Collect Shipment
Once a shipment becomes available for pickup at the desired branch or Chit Chats locker, you will receive a notification by SMS or email. If you are collecting your shipment from a Chit Chats locker, you will need to schedule a pickup window. To learn more about reserving a Chit Chats locker for your shipment, please visit our helpful support page.
If you have not received a notification and it is past the estimated delivery date, please continue to check your spam folder as it may be incorrectly filtered to junk mail. When you come to pick up your shipment, please have the following information:
- Full name of the recipient
- Shipment ID
- Barcode or PIN (Chit Chats Lockers)
Once your shipment is nearing the end of the pickup window, you will receive an email reminder. If you are unable to pick up the shipment within the remaining time frame, please consider extending your pickup window.
Extending a Pick-Up Window & Alerting Locker Reservations
Your package will be available for pickup at our branch for 7 business days. After the seventh business day the shipment will be processed for return at the same cost as the original postage. If the shipment cannot be collected within the pickup time frame, you will need to contact our support team at our toll free number 1-844-842-8777 to extend their pickup date.
If you have scheduled a pickup window using a Chit Chats locker and need to reschedule, you will first need to cancel your current booking by contacting our support team at 1-844-842-8777. Once your booking is canceled, please use the original booking link to select a new time slot from the available dates.
Once the package has been successfully retrieved from our Chit Chats branch, the shipment will be marked as “delivered”.
Returning Chit Chats Collect Shipments
If your item has been successfully collected at the designated Chit Chats branch, but you would like to return the shipment, please contact the seller. They will need to coordinate return postage based on their store’s return policy.
Can I pick up my shipment outside of the branch hours of operation?
Chit Chats Collect is a low-cost option that allows customers to pick up their items at a Chit Chats branch near them and save on shipping. Before you make the selection to ship with our most affordable Canadian service, we recommend that you choose a location that fits your schedule as all packages sent to participating branches must be picked up within their hours of operation.
What if I cannot make it in to pick up my shipment during the branch hours of operation?
We understand the challenges that some recipients have making our current branch hours. If you anticipate being unable to pick up your shipment within the seven business day time frame, we recommend contacting Client Support to extend the pickup date.
If you are unable to contact our client support before the seventh business day to extend your pickup date, your shipment will be returned to the sender. At which point you will need to contact the seller to organize a reship of your item.
