Your Chit Chats region is the province you:
- drop your shipments off at (branch or drop spot) or
- where you will send your shipments to if you use Chit Chats SmartDrop* or mail-in your consolidated packges with another provider.
*To drop off using SmartDrop - a valid Purolator label must be purchased in addition to the postage for your individual shipment. Find details and instructions here.
Currently our regions are: BC, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic. The region determines that the correct return address and postage rates are applied. Creating shipments under a different region from where we will first process your shipments will cause the incorrect postage rates to be calculated for your shipments.
If you’re in Manitoba, select Ontario; if in Saskatchewan, select Alberta as your region. Since we have no physical locations in these provinces, Chit Chats SmartDrop lets you send consolidated shipments to the nearest Chit Chats hub for processing at a small additional fee.
Note: All returns will be sent back to you as a “mail back to me.”
We can only receive shipments at branches in your designated region. If you ship with Chit Chats from out of province or you plan on visiting a Chit Chats location in another region, remember to check that you are using the correct Chit Chats region before creating your shipments.
To change your Chit Chats region:
- Click on Settings (bottom-left)
- Click on Shipping
- Under Chit Chats Region click 'Change' and select the region from drop-down. Your selection will automatically be saved for you.
Important: Changing your Chit Chats region will apply to all shipments you create moving forward. Your changes will not apply to any shipments that you have already created.
