The pandemic has caused unprecedented delays with shipping and our partner carriers are experiencing significant delays in transit times. Due to limited transportation availability and increased safety measures most carriers have removed any service guarantees. Delivery times are always estimated and never guaranteed. We strongly suggest advising your customers of these delays accordingly.

Whether you are a Chit Chats client or the recipient of a shipment, you can find up to date tracking information on the Chit Chats platform using your shipment ID. Learn more about how to search our tracking portal.

For your tracked U.S. shipments you will also be able to check for updates directly from our partner carriers in the U.S. All you will need is the carrier tracking number to enter on the carrier’s website.

Where to find the carrier tracking number

On our tracking portal

  1. Search for your shipment on our portal using your shipment ID.
  2. Once your shipment has been released to the carrier, your tracking will be updated with the carrier tracking number.

If you don’t see a tracking number, your shipment may not include carrier tracking.

In your Chit Chats Account

  1. Log into your Chit Chats account and locate the shipment.
  2. Look under the Postage tab. The carrier and tracking number will be shown here after you have purchased postage for the shipment.
  3. Alternatively, click on the shipment. A link to the carrier tracking will be available in the right sidebar.

Service and postage type availability may vary. Please note that carrier tracking events may not be displayed in your timezone. For this reason, timestamps for carrier tracking events may differ from timestamps for Chit Chats tracking events. 

Chit Chats U.S. Tracked

All Chit Chats U.S. Tracked shipments are fully tracked by our partner carrier for final delivery, USPS. You can get tracking updates directly from the carrier, by searching your carrier tracking number on USPS’s tracking page.


You can receive updates on your tracked shipments by using your tracking number to search directly on USPS’s tracking page. You can also subscribe to email and text alerts for tracking updates.

Please note that full tracking with delivery confirmation is included for some but not all USPS postage types on the Chit Chats platform. Tracking is not included for USPS First Class Mail shipments (postcards, letters & flat envelopes).

UPS Mail Innovations (UPS MI)

As UPS MI is a partnership between UPS and the USPS, the carrier tracking number is a valid tracking number for both carriers. This means that you may use this tracking number to get tracking updates directly from either carrier.

However, it is important to note that UPS handles the start of your shipment’s journey while USPS handles the final mile delivery. To track the first part of your shipment’s transit please visit UPS's tracking site. Once the shipment is received by the post office you can either continue to follow UPS’s tracking or follow the shipment to USPS’s tracking site

The Chit Chats tracking for your shipment will update with tracking events from both carriers up until final delivery.
