Chit Chats is partnered with Maritime Bus to offer clients in the Atlantic region same-day or next-day delivery to our hub. With this partnership, you gain access to over 30 Maritime Bus drop spot locations across New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.


There are additional fees associated with using Maritime Bus drop spots. After paying for your Chit Chats postage, you will need to pay the Maritime Bus courier fee to get your shipments to our Bedford hub.


What is Maritime Bus?

Maritime Bus is a third-party courier service that transports shipments from your nearest drop spot to the Dartmouth Terminal, where it is picked up for processing at our hub in Bedford, NS. As its name suggests, Maritime Bus operates across Atlantic Canada, connecting people and parcels through its network of stations and terminals.

Our partnership provides discounted rates for Chit Chats clients when packages are dropped off at a participating Maritime Bus location. Please note:

  • To take advantage of the special rate, shipments must be dropped off in person at a participating Maritime Bus drop spot.


To estimate costs, use the Maritime Bus shipping calculator to get a general quote for delivery to the Dartmouth Terminal. Keep in mind that this estimate does not include the Chit Chats discounted rate. Final pricing depends on the weight, dimensions, and origin of your shipment.


How does it work?

  1. Prepare Your Shipments

    1. Create, print, package, and label all your Chit Chats packages in advance.

    2. Maritime Bus drop spots are not affiliated with Chit Chats, so you cannot print labels or prepare your packages onsite.

    3. For multiple shipments, consolidate and batch your packages into a larger box or bag to minimize courier costs.

  2. Drop Off at a Maritime Bus Location

    1. Take your (consolidated) parcels to your nearest Maritime Bus drop spot.

    2. Inform the clerk that your shipment is for Chit Chats to receive the discounted rate.

    3. Once you have paid the fee, the clerk will produce a waybill. If dropped off before the cut-off time, packages typically arrive at the Dartmouth Terminal the same day.

  3. Track Your Shipments

    1. Provide your email at the drop spot to receive updates on waybill tracking (e.g., arrival, departure).

    2. Use Maritime Bus live tracking to monitor shipments in real time.

    3. Check Travel Advisories for any significant delays.

Once your parcels arrive at the Dartmouth Terminal, our Chit Chats driver will pick up and then deliver your parcel(s) to our Bedford Hub for processing.

  • All shipments are processed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

  • All shipments must comply with TSA restrictions regardless of their final destination.
