Some businesses prefer to have returns disposed of instead of receiving them. If this suits your business needs, you have the option to allow Chit Chats to dispose of your U.S. and international returns. 

This means that all returns received at our U.S. facilities will be disposed of at no cost to you. If you wish to select which returns to dispose of on a shipment-by-shipment basis, you will need to manage your own returns and provide a U.S. return address. If you do not have a U.S. return address, we suggest renting a PO Box that you can clear out periodically for this purpose. USPS offers low cost PO Box rentals.

At this time, we do not offer a disposal service for Canadian shipments. All Canadian returns will be processed and charged the applicable return fees upon their arrival at a Chit Chats hub. We do not process customer returns for Canadian shipments. 

If you have selected the Pickup at Branch option, your processed returns will be available for a period of 30 days. Returns that are not claimed during this time will be disposed of. If you have not set up your Chit Chats returns account, any returns received at our U.S. facility will be disposed of after a period of 60 days.

How to opt out of receiving returns

To have your returns disposed of, you will need to update your returns account settings. 

Navigate to Settings > Returns > U.S. Return Addresses and select ‘Dispose of Items’ from the return method drop-down.


This setting will be applied to all U.S and international shipments you create going forward. Once the disposal option is selected, we will be unable to stop or redirect the shipments marked for disposal.*

If you change your mind and would like to have Chit Chats manage your returns, you will need to request a change by contacting with your client ID and your request.

*No exceptions will be made. All returns will be disposed of including shipments that are undeliverable due to address and customer returns sent to this address in error.
