It can be frustrating when you've manually entered or imported your shipments and still don’t see any postage rates appear. Don't worry—this issue is usually easy to resolve. In this article, we’ll explore some of the most common reasons why postage rates may not be showing and provide tips to help you get your shipments back on track.

Canada Post Strike: Chit Chats Select is the only service available for Canadian destinations. The most common reasons why you may not see any rates are the following: 1. The shipment exceeds the service requirements of 0.1 lbs - 65 lbs (physical or dimensional weight) or there is a measurement greater than 40 inches. 2. The address is not covered. Chit Chats Select does not service PO boxes and rural areas. Note that rural addresses usually have a postal code of '0' as the second character in the postal code. Note: Ensure you include the buzzer code and phone number for apartments.
Address Coverage and Service Availability
Sometimes, you may not see any postage rates for specific destinations due to service limitations. This can happen when transport routes to certain locations/countries have been discontinued or temporarily suspended.
With the Canada Post strike, the use of our Canada Tracked and Slim services have been disabled, and the address you have entered is not serviced by our Chit Chats Select service. In such cases, our shipping partners may not be able to offer postage rates for those locations.

Special Characters
Sometimes if there is a special character in the address this can cause issues with the postage rate being shown. If you are copying and pasting be sure to paste as plain text to ensure no special characters are transferred over.
All addresses must be provided in English as our carriers do not accept other languages for the postage label.
Invalid Weight or Dimensions
A reason you might not be able to access any postage rate is if your shipment’s weight or dimensions are either missing, incorrect, or incompatible with the service. For instance, if you're trying to ship via Chit Chats Select, but your shipment weighs less than the service minimum of 0.1 lb, you will not see any rates for it. To resolve this, simply round the weight up to meet the minimum requirement.
If you're not seeing any postage options at all, check the weight and dimensions of your shipment to ensure they're within the limits for the available postage types.
Incompatible Shipment Details
Certain shipment details may limit the available postage options. For example, Chit Chats International Tracked is not available for shipments marked as gifts, so it's important to check if you're using the right combination of package type and postage options.
Additionally, shipment descriptions must be at least three characters long and must be provided in English. This ensures compatibility with our U.S. and international shipping partners and is another reason why you may not see any postage rates.
